Palm Beach Palate Cookbook

When the going gets tough, the tough get cooking. That’s what happened when three years ago budget cuts in Palm Beach County inspired a small group of mothers to produce a cookbook to raise money for an art teacher’s salary. What started out as this simple idea grew to a wonderful vision of fundraising to benefit Suncoast High School’s academic and fine arts’ programs into perpetuity.

The result of the three years of work from a committee of 18 talented ladies is the Palm Beach Palate, a beautifully bound hardcover cookbook and guide book that lies flat on the kitchen counter for easy reading. The cover art and section dividers display the mouthwatering watercolors from artist Sue Archer of Palm Beach Gardens.

Assisted by the Palm Beach County Cultural Council, our writers compiled 170 sidebars that highlight the culture, history, flora, and fauna of this diverse county. These sidebars elevate the cookbook to serve as a guide book of sorts to many cultural and recreational attractions in Palm Beach County. The gorgeous watercolors on the cover and throughout the book give it artistic appeal, and the 27 restaurant recipes add just the right touch of elegance and panache to the 256 recipes inside.
